How to Use the Master List
All plants are listed
alphabetically by their botanical (scientific) name.
The New Royal
Horticultural Society Dictionary of Gardening is the currently
accepted standard reference for authoritative plant names, and whenever possible we have
conformed to their taxonomy. Many names
commonly used by gardeners, and some previously accepted names are cross-referenced to
their appropriate names.

subspecies, varieties - Small Bold Type & small initial, indented

Where no collective
name is available the cultivar name alone is used.
